Birch Plywood is a superior quality hardwood plywood made up of multiple veneers. This product has a warm, light coloured appearance and grain detail, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications including furniture, shopfitting, wall and ceiling.
According to it’s quality, it can be divided into 4 grades;
Unfilled, sanded veneer in which no plugs; Few small open knots, few hair cracks and natural discoloring are allowed.
Unfilled and sanded veneer to which repairs by means of plugs, A restricted number of minor knots, defects of panel edges and closed splits are allowed.
Plugs and other forms of repairs, including larger knots are allowed;
Natural discolouring, including brown cores, minor splits and other flaws are allowed. It provides an excellent base for finishing with HPL.
Expect all before mentioned flaws, this grade of veneer may include larger deficiencies. It’s mainly suitable for freighting and simple construction work.
